Process

For years our interior design studio has fine-tuned our design process to ensure it meets the needs of our unique clients. Today, our four-stage approach to project planning and execution provides plenty of time for collaboration, education and evaluation around every option offered and decision made.

Project Start-Up + Schematic Design

Definition of project scope, site evaluations, confirmation of existing site measurements, produce as-built drawings, functional programming, interior space planning, furniture analysis and planning.

Design Development

Visioning, conceptual design, 3D renderings, custom design of millwork and furniture, interior selections including finishes, lighting, plumbing and hardware, furniture procurement, artwork and styling.

Construction Documents + Tendering

Preparation of drawings and specifications for construction, consultant coordination, tender coordination, request for information (RFI), bid analysis.

Contract Administration

Project management, contractor and engineer coordination, site reviews, issue change & clarification documentation, conduct deficiency reviews, review of shop drawing and finish submissions, move coordination.

Stacy Gilchrist

Founder, Senior Interior Designer, BAID

Stacy Gilchrist, founder and principal designer of Loop Interior Design Inc., has been actively involved in the residential, hospitality and commercial interior design community for over 20 years. Her excellence in contemporary and timeless designs are showcased throughout her native city, Calgary, Alberta, and in surrounding areas.

Stacy attributes her incredible success to her flexible, comfortable and open-minded approach to interior design. She has collaborated on major design projects for well-known corporations and has executed many residential and hospitality projects from small to large renovations and new builds.

In addition to her experiences in residential, hospitality and commercial design, Stacy brings Loop Interior Design studio contemporary aesthetics enhanced with classic elements to a variety of restaurant, retail and multi-family design projects.

Equipped with an applied bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Mount Royal University (2001), an appreciation for both modern and early architecture and design, and a determination to produce creative work, it’s no wonder why Stacy Gilchrist’s services remain in high-demand across Alberta.
